Job Summary
The job holder shall be responsible to plan and implement the clinical guidelines formulation/review process and support the preparation of guidelines and pathways from primary/secondary published literature and work with key stakeholders and policy makers to conduct the guidelines formulation/review sessions and manage the approval process for the clinical guidelines. The job holder shall also ensure the publication of approved clinical guidelines and prepare and conduct awareness sessions for the clinical guidelines while incorporating the guidelines into quality management programs.
Key Role and Responsibilities
1. Plan and implement the formulation of clinical guidelines and pathways from primary and secondary published literature. 2. Review existing local and international material and exercise clinical judgement on inclusion. 3. Maintain and review the methods and process documents which inform and guide the advisory committees, and stakeholders involved in the development of clinical guidelines. 4. Engage with the key stakeholders and policymakers on the strategic management of the guideline’s library, coordinating, where possible the development of new topics and the updating of existing guidelines with national priorities. 5. Measure and report the progress of clinical guidelines review/ formulation process against key deliverables and milestones and escalate issues proactively. 6. Manage diplomatically senior physicians and academics to resolve issues and reach consensus over clinical guidelines formulation. 7. Continuously develop and promote best practice in the preparation of GL and pathways. 8. Build successful working relationships within the MOPH and broader stakeholders. 9. Manage the National Clinical Guidelines review and approval process. 10. In conjunction with the department head, ensure that guidelines feed into quality standards programme, development of pathways and the creation of patient decision aids, where appropriate. 11. Support in preparation and deliver awareness sessions and communications materials for the clinical guidelines. 12. Perform other duties as requested to meet the ongoing organizational needs.

Experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in the related field.
Educational Qualification and CertificatesEssential Education
Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences or related field.
